1997/98 Championship play-off was played without teams from Republic of Srpska. Republic of Srpska Football Association made that decision because they were unsatisfied with conditions defined by UEFA. They asked to play on neutral ground. Play-off participants were 4 top muslim and 2 top croat teams, divided into two groups. Games were played in Sarajevo and Mostar. Final game was played in Sarajevo at stadium "Kosevo".
